Average GPA but high sats?

Hi, I was just wondering for my chances at UC Berkeley, UC San diego, UC Davis, Santa Clara, NYU, Boston University, Tulane
I plan on majoring in either economics or international relations for these schools.

I got a 3.435 unweighted GPA, 3.69 weighted ( cumulative ) don’t know about senior year yet. (private school weighted)

Sophomore and junior ( UC GPA) 3.785 weighted capped 3.93 weighted uncapped
SAT1
780 CR
800 Math
760 Writing
Overall: 2340
SAT 2
World History: 770
US History: 780
I plan on taking math and English this fall

I come from a very competitive high school. I’m probably around 30th percentile in my school.

My point is… does my high SAT score help balance out my faulty GPAs in anyway?
Thanks guys

bump…

Hey, I am not really an expert with this. But just for some advice:

A kid I know really slacked off his freshman and sophomore year. He picked it up his junior and senior year and his GPA was about a 3.7 (weighted). He ended up getting in the 2200s on his SAT, and he was accepted into NYU. He will be a sophomore at NYU this fall.

So I don’t know about the other schools, but I know he got into NYU and he was in a similar situation.

What was his major? Cuz i heard the major matters…like in general its easier to apply as an philosophy major than an biochemical major or a electrical engineering major

Not 100% sure, but I think Chemistry.
