Average GPAs

Hi!

I want to look at the average GPA from each of these colleges but can’t seem to find any information. I’ve been accepted to all of these recently but can’t find their current GPAs

*Baylor University
*Furman University
*Union College
*Centre College
*UMass Amherst
*Loyola Chicago University

Based on your other post, I’m guessing you want the average GPA of those colleges in order to pick the one with the highest GPA because you want to go to med school and you know that a high GPA is important?

So, two things:

  1. The average GPA for a university is not useful for that. The GPAs that will matter are a sub-set of those of the college overall.

  2. You seem to be trying to find facts to help you choose which college is best for you- but there comes a point when you have to line up the info you have, and then see how it fits you. You have been given a lot of info on your other thread- so weigh those factors and get a preliminary idea as to how your choices shake out (esp if there are any that can clearly be cut, such as unaffordable ones) Then marinate in the online info for each- their websites, but also videos online of dorm life, of the EC activities that are interesting to you, etc. Think about the locations and the vibe of each college. It is the rare person who doesn’t do better in an environment that suits them than one that doesn’t. Then make a choice. It can feel hard and seem scary, but in the end, it’s what you have to do. Trust yourself. You have good choices, and it will be ok.
