I just received my financial aid offer from NYU and they gave me an NYU Pell Grant of around 4000$.

1.) When FAFSA kicks in will it substantially add more money to this grant of 4000$?

2.) How much in grants total did you receive upon admission into NYU

Isn’t FAFSA the Pell Grant?

Pell Grants are based on information you provide on your FAFSA. The amount you receive is determined by the Federal Government, up to a maximum of $5,770. The amount on your NYU financial aid letter is an estimate until the Feds confirm the amount of your award.
