Goals:

An education at a highly-ranked school, specifically in engineering (sciences)

Looking at:

Stanford as a reach
UCLA, Air Force, UCSF as matches
ASU, UT Austin, and other states as safeties

Any other help?

ihaveorangepents:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCLA: Slight Reach (Engineering)

Up those SAT I scores. Otherwise, well qualified candidate.

So, if I make a, let’s say:

670/800 for a 1470 I should be a pretty well-qualified candidate for Stanford? Or just UCLA?

Your stats are very similar to mine (me= 3.72 uw GPA, 33 ACT). I think Stanford’s a big reach and I don’t know that much about the others. But you’ve got a very strong record, and should have good chances.

Have thought about any of the lower Ivies (not HYP)? Or any LACs? Because I think you’d probably have very good chances there.

Yeah, thanks, which schools are low-ives and LACs? I’m new to the college realm lol.

Cornell, Brown, bowdoin, haverford, amherst, colgate, grinell, bucknell, oberlin.
