What is the average net cost of Syracuse University after financial aid?
I’ve received the Dean’s scholarship of 10,000$ PTK scholarship for 2,000$ and will most likely receive around 10,000$ for TAP and Pell Grant. However, I was curious does SU offer more aid than that when financial aid packages are distributed? My parents are dead therefore my EFC is 0.

So Syracuse has been very generous with financial aid to me. I received a $20,000 scholarship. I called and explained my situation (similar to yours) and I got an extra $18,000 for the first year which puts me in range with the money I have. Syracuse has very good financial aid advisors who want to help. See you at SU

Keep in mind that if you continue to need money after you’re enrolled you will probably have to opt for loans. I am here on the Founders Scholarship (they were only worth $12,000 last year), several grants, and loans. Last semester I was charges $4,000. I was unable to pay this. My mom was unemployed. And they didn’t give me more money. They approved my mom for a loan. Which still didn’t cover everything. I’m not saying this to scare you guys. I’m just saying that you can’t count on the school to have unlimited funds to help pay for school.
