Average number of review book read

How many review books do you guys(and girls) usually read per AP exam taken? A guy from school said that he went through about three for Physics B and he at least took 4+ last school year.

Depends on the AP exam. For English Lang and Lit, I only used Princeton Review. For APES, I used an old prep book my teacher lent me. AP World and AP Gov, I used around 3-4. For Calc, I started with Barron’s, but hated it, and eventually switched to Princeton Review. APUSH…I used…2 or 3, and I passed all of my AP tests. It really depends on you and how much you think you need to prepare for an AP test. If you are comfortable with the material, there is no need to read a bunch of books on that subject.

Zero for me. Except I think I skimmed part of an AP Chemistry review book.

What would be more interesting is, plot # of review books vs. AP score, and find the correlation.

I usually read two for the ones that are “hard” self-studies

It depends on the subject, but usually just one. For some subjects, I might use two, but only for especially hard units.

ap psych: none
ap chem: princeton review & 5 steps
ap calc: princeton review

got a 5 on them all

I’ve taken 12 APs and only ever had one review book: computer science. I got it over the summer because I was worried about going into the class with no prior knowledge, but I didn’t end up using it at all.

I get at least one book for each subject.
