Average over achiever any chance in ivy's

With a large number of overly qualified applicants applying by the thousands to each ivy school. Is it possible for a student (myself) to have a solid chance to gain acceptance to these schools with no special credentials or awards.

Students with All A’s
decent # of Ap’s (5-6)
well rounded with sports, clubs and music
and very high Sat’s 750 +

Well stats wise you’re competitive for any ivy…assuming you have a high rank and 750+ on each section of SAT I, and on SAT IIs. Your ECs must be strong, and leadership position in clubs/sports is great. I’d say your scores/grades give you a solid shot at the ivys, but what it will come down to is essays/recs.

thanks runi27

The admit rate for applicants to the eight Ivies ranges from about 6% to 21%. The admissions rate for those who don’t apply amazingly hovers at zero every year.

Good luck . Investigate the colleges and see if you can see yourself attending. If yes, then see if you’re willing to go thru the process of applying (which isn’t easy).
