Average student at Ithaca

My D is an average student who has always struggled with reading comprehension. She’s deciding between Ithaca and U Delaware. Which school is more nurturing/offers extra help and assistance? I don’t want her to feel lost with no one to help her.

Friends who are self starters have liked both schools, but suggest someone needing nurturing may be better off at a small school

questbest: I say with the utmost of respect from one parent to another; it would be best to wait until all of your daughters acceptances are in before you make a decision as to where the best place for her would be…it’s good to do research, mind you, but to compare one school against another can prove to be a futile exercise if she is not admitted to, let’s say, UDel…

This discussion would definitely had been appropriate if an ED decision was on the table…or when she is accepted to both Ithaca and UDel in the spring…that is when many of the school v school threads are started; when students are trying to make decisions…

That being said, I agree with yabeyabe…someone needing nurturing would be better off at a smaller school
