and college acceptances

This is the Avon college matriculation. They report it by quintile of the class vs. total numbers per college;

I’m sure Avon has fewer Ivy’s than the others.

“Ranked” how? In hockey, they are ranked above them. :)

Avon does have lower average SAT scores (1780 vs. 1981 for Choate and 2013 for Hotchkiss) - but remember you are comparing a group of all boys to groups of boys AND girls. Not apples to apples.
Avon has 18 AP classes, Choate has 25, Hotchkiss 21.
Avon’s endowment is a fraction of the others ($35 million vs. over $200 million for Choate and over $300 million for Hotchkiss), yet they do have great facilities - new sports/art center (yes in one building), new dorms in the last few years. And, their average FA award is nearly the same as Choate’s and just a couple thousand less than Hotchkiss.

Obviously, the biggest difference is the all boys education vs. co-ed and it’s really hard and almost unfari to compare.
