<p>if I have a “silver aztec” award, for students who maintain a 3.5 uw gpa or higher, would it be ok to put this down on the awards category of the application, or is it meaningless, because mostly all of the other applicants would have atleast a 3.5 uw at uci, ucsd, etc?</p>
<p>I don’t see how it could hurt you… but I don’t think it particularly would help you get “in” to the schools you want. Because maintaing a stable gpa is what the college sees… the awards provided by the school are usually to motivated the kids to do best… not to “distinguish” - our school has that kind of award for ppl above 4.0. No one really cares though
