awesome Cville food

Skip the pizza and the Chinese. Walk 15 feet off campus and go to Qdoba for a burrito. I love the one by my house in New Jersey. The second I saw there was one right by UVA I knew it was my favorite school. Haha ok so that is a bit of a strong way to put it, but man I love Qdoba!!! and UVA.

Qdoba is Qdoba. It’s everywhere. It’s good, sure, but there’s nothing about it that is inherently Cville like many of these other places.

There’s a Chipotle moving into Barracks soon too…

The only reason to eat at barracks is if you’re going to FIVE GUYS.

Two words: LITTLE JOHN’S! I can never pass up a good sub.

For your sweet tooth, I say Arch’s. Rob Archer took mediocre Columbo’s frozen yogurt (mediocre in sales not in yogurt) and created something heavenly. The Archers are only thing I go to corner for second to LJ and MM.

Oh yeah, I love Mellow Mushroom’s Trivia Night. Good stuff.

Oh man, this thread is making me hungry…and anxious about school!

Trivia night? Holy god, I love that stuff.

And yeah, like I said I am a food freak but I am also a poor undergraduate food freak. Chipotle is pretty good, but it’s not worth the money. I can make the same meal at home for myself for a couple of bucks. Qdoba, from what I’ve heard, is along those lines.

Some restaurants make the kind of gloriously fattening junk you just can’t reproduce in your own kitchen. Some of these sound right up my alley.

hoos getting pumped for college bars again? ;-)

i’m such a loser ahahah.

lol, jags. At this point I’d just be happy with a calzone from mellow mushroom and a cube of keystone.

Oh sorry pizzelle, I saw but forgot to answer your question. Yeah I have eaten at Sakura, why?

Just ate at Casella’s tonight. It sucked. Avoid at all costs.

lol, well at least it was free.

Yea, because it was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten.

Uhhh okay I disagree. But considering that you love Five Guys and the White Spot, which are some of the greasiest places you could possibly eat, I can imagine Casella’s isn’t up your alley. The pizza there doesn’t drip as you eat it.

I thought the pizza was good (though service was slow and MM is better anyway), but his calzone looked like a piece of ****

I don’t eat calzones, so I wouldn’t know. I ate at Christian’s (which everybody and their brother recommended) and the pizza was so oily it was literally dripping down my chin. It seemed like a better pizzeria if you like wacky toppings. I love good old-fashioned cheese, and Casella’s is way better. I love their sauce.

I haven’t eaten anywhere else since then, but that’s because I am forced to eat beans and yogurt almost every day.

jimmy john’s is pretty good for subs as well.

I second that Qdoba is a great place.

Tropical smoothie SUCKS balz.

Don’t like white spot that much anymore, the castle’s cyclops is the same thing.

Escafe in downtown mall is a fabulous place, pretty good asian fusion food and drinks.

Spendora’s is always delicious as well.

Bizou on the downtown mall, especially for lunch. Best $10 lunch on the east coast.

Bang, by the same owners, asian/fusion/tapas. Very good, on the expensive side. Also downtown.
