Hi
I have AWFUL junior year and mildly good senior year test scores. But It’s not entirely my fault. Im not gonna post my reasons here. But if the reasons are good enough, can they make those scores justifiable for adcoms?

No, excuses of good reasons don’t matter for lower than acceptable scores, especially at a school like Harvard. Most schools of this caliber don’t give exceptions for basic stats. If you were the finalist for a national science competition and a tornado blew your project away, maybe that would be something to write an excuse about, but many successful people at Harvard and similar have had major catastrophes in their lives and they still managed to have unbelievable stats. Look at schools where your stats are in the 50th percentile range and consider Harvard an extreme reach.

Thanks…

If you’re doing some research with a top professor of a recognized university, perhaps they can vouch for your brilliance, but if you don’t have that, then the only hope for a 2nd look at your application is a starting point of great scores/grades/class rank, and then they’ll look at how you saved the world.

From your “chance me” thread.

“AWFUL” test scores, eh?

BTW, has your 500GWatts generator materialized yet?

I think OP was referring to grade scores (the 80s and 90s), not test scores.

I don’t know if you’re a ■■■■■ or are just looking for compliments. If those stats are real, you should have the professor you’re working with on the power generator write or make a call to whatever schools you’re applying and vouch for you. Being ranked 5 out of 75 is of course not bad if your school sends the first 4 off to MIT, Standford, Columbia and IIT.

I’m guessing you also have money otherwise you wouldn’t have the time to do all the other things on your list, and it appears like you also have connections, as your supposed ECs are all over the place and require travel and a network to achieve some of those things so young.

In the future, post your real stats up front and don’t waste my time on hypothetical ‘awful scores.’

Snowflake: the OP may not be able to type a response to you any time soon. I hear he’s strained his elbow patting himself on the back too much.

Ha ha, T26E4. I know you have seen many applications in your day. What do you make of this one?

You know people shouldn’t make fun of people based on things they clearly don’t know about. I am talking about high school grades (internal tests, etc). NOT STANDARDIZED TESTS! And if you’ll please go and look at all of my threads you will see that one person does not use this account. My account has been used by more than 5 people now. And no! those people can’t make their own accounts because I do not live at a place where everyone has internet (minus the horrible GPRS we have in cellphones). And finally, if you really feel the urge to make me explain anything I posted here, PM me or ASK me.

OK, not everybody has internet. So why do they have to use your account? I’m sorry, that’s your fault.

Anyone who is borrowing your internet can make their own FREE account right from your computer!

This guys a ■■■■■…

Anyway I doubt what u say is true… Anyway lets face the truth, you’re not going to harvard…
