awful misunderstanding, what do i do?

over the summer i think the college board sent my ap scores to the wrong adress or they got lost in the mail because i never got them. I asked my counselor for my scores and for some reason she said i got a 5 on the AP Comp Sci Exam, so I put 5 on the common app. I recently got into the college of engineering at michigan. and i called the college board to see how you send your scores, and I ended up finding out that I only got a 4 on the AP Comp Sci Exam.
Am I going to be kicked out?
Should i withhold this score?

I’m sure umich received the official score from collegeboard even though your school did not. Although they asked you what you got on the common app, it would seem that there should be another check in place to validate said claim.

I wouldnt worry about it but give them a call to clear things up – a 5/5 or 4/5 shouldn’t mean much in terms of accept/deny.

I believe his concern was whether they would rescind his acceptance due to falsification of information on his application.

If you call and explain the situation, I don’t for see any issues.

Michigan does not really rely on AP results. They may glance at them, but they are used mainly for credit purposes. Besides, a 4 isn’t exactly chopped liver.

As Vlad suggested, call Michigan and inform them of the misunderstanding. I see no issue here.

thanks everybody i contacted them
