Awkward Semester Reports,

So, I got deferred from my Early Action school of choice, and now I face an awkward situation where I have to frantically raise my semester grade to the level of my final junior grades.

That said, my semester reports actually come out the last day of January. It’s a full 30 days after the application deadline, and very likely after colleges are likely to download my application.

Will these colleges receive my first semester grades? Although it’s embarrassing to say so, I’ve accrued a horrible case of senioritis already and it’s gonna be hard mustering up my will to excel at school again. If they’re likely to not get it, I might just collapse on myself. (In an A to B sorta sense, not in a B to F sorta sense)

Thank you!

“Will these colleges receive my first semester grades?” Yes they will use this.

“I’ve accrued a horrible case of senioritis already and it’s gonna be hard mustering up my will to excel at school again.” Frankly, you need to be prepared for the fallout then – which may mean fewer choices of colleges, less Fin Aid, etc.
