B+ in AP Macro Economics mess with admission into IOE at UMICH?

I dropped 7% on the day of the final and ended up with a B+ and my teacher won’t round me. I am interested in doing Industrial Engineering and UMICH is my top choice. I am only a junior and have an unweighted GPA of 3.9ish. Since economics is important in industrial engineering, does this one B+ make getting into UMich IOE harder. (I know it’s nothing like this makes it IMPOSSIBLE but I was wondering if it makes it significantly harder). I am mostly an A student and I have only gotten 3 Bs so far in my high school career. 1 in Honors English sophomore year, 1 in AP Chemistry 1st semester Junior Year and another in AP Macro S1 junior year.

*I’m the class of 2015 so I’m a 2nd semester Junior right now

Thank you very much

…

go away

save yourself the embarrassment and delete this thread

When you apply to Michigan during your senior year of high school, you apply to the College of Engineering (assuming you want to do engineering). You do NOT apply to a specific program. You cannot declare your major until after your first semester at Michigan (for the College of Engineering).

I took AP Macro Economics in high school and I am currently an IOE student Michigan. I have taken a lot of IOE classes. AP Macro Economics is NOT that important for IOE.

Okay, thanks.

So it doesn’t impact me a lot and make it much harder to get in, right?

yeah one of my friends got the same grade as you in economics and got rejected from coe…

I apologize, I did not mean to be making a joke.

Serious replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

your B+ won’t significantly impact your admissions chances.

Thank you very much for an honest and simple reply
