Should I be worried? This year our school switched to a block schedule, meaning that classes only meet every other day. I only took one period for cross country which meant I practiced once every two days. I was not alone in doing so; many other members of the team also decided to take only one period for cross country. However, my coach decided to give a B to everyone, including me, who only took one period. Should I bother explaining this? Is there a specific process I have to go through to have to explain this? Will it even matter since it’s not academic? Or is it too late? I used the common app btw. My unweighted GPA is 3.96 so I’m pretty worried.

Also, I just found out that my school had made an error on my transcript, and it has only been fixed recently. The transcript that was uploaded to the common app website is missing two semesters of a community college course I had taken over the summer. However, I did label this course on the Additional Info section. My transcript is fixed now. How should I go about fixing this? Or is it too late?

I am applying to the ivy leagues and some other top colleges. The input of my fellow CCers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced! :)

The school should send a copy of the corrected transcript. As for the B, I doubt it would be the deciding factor in admissions to the Ivy Leagues. If it makes you feel better, let the colleges know or ask your counselor to include the information in the school description.

Changing this cross country grade to an A would only boost my GPA by 0.02 because I’ve taken quite a lot of classes, so I’m not as crazy about this as I am the mistakes in my transcript. Can anyone give me a step-by-step process on how to fix this? Should I just make my counselor send the corrected transcript in my mid-year report?

Yeah, that B in cross sounds like a bunch of BS move on your coaches part. Its supposed to be an EC not a class. Send the corrected transcript to the colleges you already submitted it to.
