BA or BS in computer science

I’m interested in computer science but also want to take plenty of electives. My education does not have to be “liberal arts” per se, but it should be in that direction

You are either uninformed about CS or kidding yourself. The required curriculum for a CS degree is going to soak up most of the classes you take, and definitely most of your time. Before you chase unicorns much longer talk to some real CS students to understand what it takes to get this “trendy” degree and decide whether this is really the right field for you. My bet: no

I felt like there was something inherently wrong with me that though I’d taken three years of CS classes, including all the prerequisites for the class, it wasn’t just all snapping together nicely. I questioned my right to be “in tech” at all. On Monday, though, I mentioned it to my friend Chris, whom I know to be a righteous coder, and he cut me off with, “I’m right there with you. I spent the entire weekend - I mean I didn’t do anything else - working on my graphics coding project… And I got no where. No where.” Jesus, that made me feel better. If he’s still having days where hours and hours are just thrown into the CS trash, with nothing to show for the effort, maybe I’m just right on target.
