Baby Ivys

<p>I personally consider Stanford to be one of the top 5 schools in the nation, surpassing several of the ivy league schools in all aspects of university criteria. With that said what do you stanford admits/students think about schools that are considered baby Ivies, but not nearly on the level as say a Stanford or Duke?. Ex. Emory, Chicago, Notre Dame.</p>

<p>Hmm…there’re no baby Ivy schools. Typically those are called the Top 50, or Tier 1 (one). These are some of the top schools in the nation.</p>

<p>I’ve always thought that baby ivies were schools that feed into Ivies. Like, baby ivies in NYC are the nursery schools that parents send their kids to because they feed into private schools that feed into ivies. I’ve never heard the term used for the top 25 schools <em>shrug</em></p>
