I got a 34 composite, a 31 for composite English/Writing. On the writing itself I got a 7/12. BUUT I also took AP Language and I think I got at least a 4 on the test.

Is a re-take worth it?? I usually don’t get 34 composite on practice tests… I usually get around 32. I think my unusually high score was a miracle lol.

7 is a respectable score. If I were you, I would be happy with that score- especially since your composite is 2 higher than your practice tests.

I thought that anything above an 8 is respectable, since about 50% of test-takers get a 7 or above (at least according to this website –> <a href=“What's a Good ACT Writing Score?”>http://collegeapps.about.com/od/theact/a/good-act-writing-test-score.htm

No - ACT ranks writing scores of 7 - 8 in the same category: http://www.act.org/standard/planact/writing/index.html

So it won’t really help you unless you score a 9 or higher AND another 34 or higher composite score, and since most schools don’t really care about the writing score unless it’s really subpar you probably shouldn’t worry about taking it again.
