I got 26 on the ACT 29 English, 30 Math, 21 reading, and 25 science. But everything else is great GPA: 4.2 weighted. Ranked 5th. 5 AP classes; 25 college credits ( dual enrollment); descent essays, hopefully. What the university take into consideration that I have been only 4 years in the US as excuse for my poor performance on ACT. Also, what are my chances; I am applying to university ofChicago?
Thank you,

Pretty much no chance with those scores.

What is your sat cr+m score? some times one does not get high score in act will have higher score in sat and vise versa. No, 4 years in the US is not an execuse for college admission.

The ACT range of all admitted students for the Class of 2014 was 23-36, with the middle 50% being 30-34.

^ you do not know you how much you raised my morality.
thank you,

“middle 50% being 30-34”

Is that superscored or one sitting?

The University of Chicago does superscore the ACT:

I got a 30 on the ACT because my science score was a 24. The others were M-34, R-32, E-29. Science was last and I just sort of zoned out for 15 minutes on one question.

Could I just take the English and Science Sections this time and get zeros for the others? Would this be frowned upon?

DO NOT just sit there and get zeros on the other sections, other schools you might want to apply to do not superscore
