Bad day. :(

<p>Okay, so in my Philosophy class, I was talking to my friend about what we’re going to do for the teachers at our senior banquet because it’s tradition to give the teachers awards. So this other girl walks up and goes, “Oh, we already took care of that.” So we were just like “Gee, thanks for including the rest of the class.” And she goes, “Fine, do whatever the heck you want” and flipped out. So then my girlfriend that I was talking to came and sat with me because she knew I was flipping out a little and this guy (one of my friends) in the class notices, turns around and goes, “What’s going on?” And the OTHER girl goes, “They’re talking about what a (jerk) I am” (which we weren’t).
So I finally just got so tired of her talking about how awful we were and how we HAD to be talking about her, that I got up and left. And then a bunch of my friends came out, and I can HEAR this argument going on in class. One of my best friends was defending me, because she knows I don’t talk about people like that. She finally got so mad she walked out and left, and the girl ended up walking out too. </p>

<p>So THEN, I went to my 5th period, and two of the teacher’s kids have been videotaping her in class and posting it on YouTube unbeknownst to her…the principal of my school found one that I guess they were trying to bait her into an argument or something. Had some pretty bad racial slurs in it (she’s a first-generation immigrant from India) about how she’s an illegal immigrant (which she’s not) with a red dot on her forehead who makes less than ten cents an hour, et cetera. So I was trying to tell this one girl that it was illegal to do that because she was all ticked off (one of the kids was her friend) and she was like “Whatever, I’m not talking to you.” And the teacher (whom I LOVE…I’ve had her for 3 years) thinks that it’s HER fault somehow because she’s the adult in the classroom.</p>

<p>Now yes, she is very liberal and relaxed with her students and does sometimes joke around, so maybe part of it is her fault. But then at the same time, there’s no reason to post things like that on the internet.</p>

<p>Now I was already angry about my 3rd period and that little snide comment just made me so angry that I got up and left (I’m a teacher’s aide in that class so she pretty much lets me come and go as I please) and went across the hall to my Philosophy class…I have a lot of friends in there 5th period, so they calmed me down a little.</p>

<p>I’m just still so angry…<em>Sigh</em> I don’t know what to do.</p>

<p>High school drama. It’s ALMOST over! </p>

<p>Then you can have college drama, then workplace drama…</p>

<p>Don’t sweat the small stuff. (Easier said than done).</p>

<p>So sorry all this is going on - as Lafalum says, “high school drama”. But given your screen name, you know exactly where to take this, and where to leave it!</p>

<p>HGFM, it’s almost over and believe it or not in a week or so you will begin to feel nostalgic for this time in your life. Really. I promise.</p>

<p>Heh…after this all happened, my friend and I (I drive her home every day) just looked at each other and were like, “It is SO time to go to college.”</p>

<p>I can’t wait. :slight_smile: I do know I’ll miss high school though…just moreso the people than the actual school. I’ve made some really wonderful friends.</p>
