Worked over 25 hours a week many times to support my family. took care of family member with chronic illness 9-10 grade. as a result, I received 5 B’s and 2 C’s in 9-10 grade. 31 ACT, 2150 SAT II and basically gave my energy to the few things I was involved in. very focused and relatively unique ec’s. worked myself to help pay to take multivariable calc at local uni and 4 other college classes. will have taken 15 ap’s by senior year. A’s in 12 of them…

any chance? my counselor will be explaining this in his recommendation.

unweighted gpa close to 3.7 despite the bad grades. Made up for it by taking extra classes each semester after 10th grade.

If you had all As in Junior/Senior Year, transcript shouldn’t hurt you much at all.

I had 1 B in Junior year. I will be receiving 2 B’s and 2 A’s in mid-year report, in all AP classes. I’m still working almost 25 hours a week right now. my family needs the money.

Oh, cool. I’m in a similar situation.

You definitely do have some chance (but everyone’s chances are so low…), but higher test scores (32 plus or equivalent SAT) would be a big help. Those two Bs won’t hurt you too much if they aren’t closer to a C than an A.
