Bad grade in non-core course?

I know that college addmissions officers tend to not put much weight to non-core classes (i.e physical education or art)

However, in my second (read: optional) read of art, I recieved the grade of C during on of the semesters, all due to one horrible, horrible quarter grade caused by a complication of various factors.

How negatively will this weigh on my application, for both acceptance and honors/merit aid? This isn’t killing my GPA overall; GPA barely changes from this grade alone.

Most schools just send out the final grade. Depending on what you got the other 3 quarters, it really shouldn’t matter.

Unless your school does something different.

I was talking about semester-wise…

If it doesn’t really bring your overall GPA down, you probably don’t have anything to worry about.

I sure hope so. Thanks =)
