Hello I am a freshman in high school. I didn’t do my work the first month of school, so my first quarter GPA is a 3 or under. My 2nd quarter GPA however is a 3.85. My semester GPA will probably be a 3.3 or 3.4… If I can keep my 3.8+ up for the rest of high school, do well on standardized tests and have strong ECs, how much will that 3.3 hurt me? I want to major in computer science.

*Bad grades, not grade sorry.

If you really apply yourself academically for the rest of hs- the low first semester won’t be a problem. Try to get a 4.0 or close as you can from here on. Study for the PSAT - as much as you hear it doesn’t matter - it does! Means admission and money. Good luck!
