<p>So I got a bad grade second semester freshman yr. at Emory and I feel like crap. I have clinical depression and that had a huge role on my bad grade in this one course I also dropped a class this semester. Honestly I am capable of better but I have a lot on my mind right now. I would like to go to an Ivy league Grad School. Can I explain all of this to grad schools or will they still hold it against me?</p>
<p>Don’t worry about Frosh grades for grad school. Your major grades and research are much more important (unless its med and law).</p>

<p>Top med & law require both high grades and test scores. </p>
