Bad Grades are denying me

Recently I had a very good GPA throughout high school, but I messed up in my senior year. I got a D in English, but took adult school and passed with an A, but failed AP Calculus and AP Statistics with a D. Recently UC Merced, my college choice, email me that I may be denied even though I met the minimum requirements. The community colleges have a program to make up those classes, but it ends after the due date when I send my transcripts to UC Merced, and usually takes a week to get the grades. Is there any other option to get admission in general

As I read it, you haven’t yet been accepted to UC Merced, but are hoping to and are afraid that your grades will prevent it?

Meeting the minimum requirements isn’t enough-- lots and lots of kids weren’t accepted to lots and lots of schools, having met the minimum requirements.

If I’m misreading it and you HAVE already been accepted, speak to someone in the admissions office.

Call the admissions office and see if your plan will work. It may not but that’s not terrible. In CA you can start at your CCC and get to a UC if you do well. Good luck.
