bad high school, good college stats

<p>My high school years aren’t exactly the best, and I just wanted to know that if my 1st year of college is phenomenal, do I have a chance at transferring to a selective college ?
when I selective I mean schools like
University of Southern California
University of Miami</p>

<p>Or any other colleges that are well suited for a biochemistry major, that are located in either Florida or California</p>
