Bad idea to have math teacher write recc.?

I participated most in math class, I like the math teacher and she likes me too. My question is though is it a bad idea for math teachers to write reccs. considering they are math teachers and probably not interested in writing or like to write?

I’m having a math teacher write my rec. I had him for 2 classes and he knows me the best. I’m sure he has written many recs in the past. A lot of colleges request a rec from a math teacher.

Nothing wrong with a math teacher rec. RPI even says that they prefer to have a science or math teacher write a rec.

Yes, there’s nothing wrong with getting a Math teacher to write your rec – especially the AP ones (e.g. Calc BC/D)

My calc BC teacher is a genius with amazing writing skills.

lucky you…
well in general rec letters are just a brief summary of what they know about you, it is not an essay skill thing.
So anyone can do it, even the bum down by the dumpsters (that is given he went to school and didnt forget how to write)
