Can a good senior year + good life story make up for it?

What I’m pretty much trying to say is, do colleges see your senior 1st semester grade in full and weigh it in the decision, or is it pretty much screw up soph/junior year and people think you’re lazy and a good-for-nothing student.

Most students accepted at the top schools have had strong, consistent grades throughout. Junior year, with the progression of difficulty, is very important.

yes they look at senior year. i think my senior year grades screwed me over at upenn and princeton.
anyways… every year counts even if you have a good story.
good story plus good grades equal good
