I was admitted EA with a merit scholarship. I just got my midterm grade back from Math class and I got a 70%, which will go on my transcript as a C. Will this affect either decision? I mean, it was clear from the materials I sent in that I was not good at math. I’m a straight B student in the subject and my two SATs were 550 and 630 for math, so I’m thinking maybe they would look over it, since they could never assume I was good at it. But I’m nervous. What do you think? It sucks… I studied and no one in the class got above a 90 even with the curve, but they wont see how well people did generally so that doesn’t help me. How important will midterm grades be in general?

No, it will not matter. Getting criminal records and failing classes is when they start to consider this.

If that’s the only blemish on your transcript, I wouldn’t worry about it. Seriously. And be thankful a 70 is a C at your school–it’s one point above failing at mine (screw 7-point scales).
