I live in a very rural town in Oklahoma, and our high school is…well, to put it nicely, not ideal.
I would say that you’re pretty much in at all of them. I don’t know too much about the honors programs at any of those schools, though. Your ACT and GPA are both above-average for all three. Plus, your ECs are strong.

Your profile is strong, I don’t know much about those schools though to give you any useful information. However, I do hope you choose to apply to some better schools because i’m positive you have a chance at getting accepted to a couple of them. Your a stronger canidate than you think. And colleges evaluate you within the context of your high school. Its great that your ranked #1 in your class and your ACT score proves that your on the same level as other smart people from private schools. Good Luck :)

Although it might be a slight reach, I’d recommend you apply to Rice. I would also recommend Wake Forest, but it’s in NC. If you’re okay with moving away, I think you would be good there.

Most schools look at how well you did in the environment you were in. You obviously did very well in your school, so I think you have a good chance at those schools.

Rice is the perfect school for you. It’s close to home and its the best school in the south. However I don’t think they offer business. Since your looking into business, you should look into these schools if your okay with moving away…

UVA

Hope I was of some help…

Yeah I loved the idea of Rice and the whole not a “business” school made me mad I know UT Austin is a great school but it’s huge! And I’m more on the…well less social side of things I guess you’d say lol. Thanks for all the input, I appreciate it greatly!

Standardized test scores were meant to standardize everyone on the same level, either from a good school or bad school or international school or magnet school. Your ACT seems to be great, especially impressive since you came from a poor school.
