Bad SAT 2 score question

Even though I’m a junior now and I’ll be applying to all the UCs next year, this has been haunting me for a while now.

In November, I took both the USH and Lit subject tests in one sitting and I did pretty well on the USH, not so much for Lit. The thing is, I got extremely sick the previous day and I took the tests while sick. I practically spent all my energy on the USH half and almost passed out for the Lit test. I knew I wasn’t going to cancel because my USH was near perfect, but the Lit was abysmal. It was around a low 500 I believe. I practically took that test half-conscious and was light-headed the entire time.

Now, how will the UCs view that? Is there any way that I can tell them that it was a fluke, and that I should’ve done better? I know I can retake Lit later on since UCs only look at the higher score, but I’m still on the edge on whether or not this will actually affect me negatively.

Help, anyone?

bump 10chars :(

just a note: there’s no need to bump a thread unless it has reached the 2nd page

To answer your question: I’m a senior this year and I didn’t apply to any UCs, so I’m not familiar with their score system.

If the school allows Score Choice, you can send ONLY your USH score and not your Lit score because Score Choice is BY SINGLE SUBJECT TEST, not by test date.

If your school does NOT allow Score Choice, you must send in all scores. In this case, I would definitely re-take Lit at a future time. This way, a score increase could make up for the low 500.
