<p>I took the ACT and got a 29(English 31, Reading 26, Math 27, Science 30) and I am fairly proud of this score. At my High School they were offering the SAT for free last year so I took it and I got a 1600(I don’t remember the sub scores). This is awful considering that I’m applying to the Air Force Academy.</p>
<p>My problem is that when the Academy requested my transcript, my school told me that they can’t take the SAT score off of my transcript. Now USAFA knows my good ACT score and my bad SAT score, is there anything I can do so that they won’t consider the bad SAT score?</p>
<p>I’ve been deferred to regular selection rather than early action and this is why I’m starting to get worried. I scored above average on the CFA and I’ve been nominated by three different congressmen. I have all the extracurriculars to be competitive and I have a 3.6 GPA(I know low end).</p>
<p>I live in a less competitive region(Idaho), but this bad SAT score is like a pimple on my application. Is there anything I can do so they don’t use it for selection? It makes me mad that my High School has to send my crappy score on the transcript or no transcript at all.</p>
