Bad SAT score

If you got a really bad SAT score freshmen year, will colleges look at it? Or would they consider that it was taken early on in high school so it doesn’t really matter? Also, I know that 3 is the unofficial limit to take it, but if I take it 3 more times, will it be a problem?

Colleges take the top score from each of your attempts. They will likely understand that your freshman year scores were just your first try. It’s not a problem to take it more than 3 times as long as you’re improving significantly each time. Rather repetitive and useless if you don’t go up by more than 60 pts each time I’d say

An adofficer from the top colleges/universities said they ignore freshman year unless that is the only score you have or a score that you are satisfied with, for example, I read someone got 1550/1600 in 7/8th grade and did not have to retake in high school.

Okay thanks!!
