I’m a rising senior and I’ve taken the sat 3 times, yet my score hasn’t improve. I took a prep class and my score actually went down. When I super score my score comes out to 1590 which isn’t very good. I’m a good student taking higher level classes but i think my SATs won’t be able to get me into my ideal colleges. Should I take it again? I’ve taken the act once but my scores haven’t come back yet so I can’t compare

Its ok. I’m in the same boat as you. My SAT scores aren’t satisfying. Look up an ACT/SAT conversion chart, take your SAT score and see what you should get on the ACT. If what you actually get on the ACT is higher than your conversion of the 1590, GOOD. Then find schools where you only have to submit the ACT Scores. I know with me, my ACT superscore is a 31, which should translate to damn near a 2100 on the SATs, but I’m getting scores in the 1800s. Makes about zero sense, but hey, the collegeboard sucks!

I would also suggest studying a LOT for the ACTs. If you’re like me, and you perform much better on the ACTs, its worthwhile to study really hard for the ACTs and get an amazing score.
