BAD SAT scores

my friend got a 1650 on his SAT but has a 3.7 GPA uw and a 4.2 w GPA and takes hard classes. How much higher do u think he can get on his next SAT and what kind of schools should he looks at if he can get it higher

haha a kid here made 1350 . . she was laughing about it though lol?

As long as you practice, the sky’s the limit (most of the time, unless you’re just ■■■■■■■■)

I like to think of the SAT like the lyrics of Remember by Fort Minor

“10% luck
20% skill
15% concentrated power of will
5% pleasure
50% pain
and 100% reason to remember the name (or score)”

keeps me going when I want to just get up from the desk and never see another SAT question again.

bump…

I don’t understand this: “and 100% reason to remember the name (or score)”

I wish I had your power of will dude, after I make a full SAT practice test, I’m like “that’s it for today, better luck tomorrow … mmmm, Lineage … play play play”

well for them, it stands for the percentages of what they went through to make the group.
They wanted a song to make them stand apart (hence “remember the name”),

10 + 20 + 15 + 5 + 50 = 100 … yep its all there

For me, constantly working the practice questions = 100% reason to remember the coveted ____ on the score report.
And the song has a nice fast beat, it’s a good motivator, even for APs. I covered 1/2 a barron’s prep book in one day with that song. it’s my motto 4 LYFE.

CAPESH? :)

1 practice test in a day is really good actually, considering they’re 3 hrs and 45 mins long . . . I’m brain-dead after a full practice test.

Haha–Fort Minor. I listened to that a bunch.

i’m guessing 1830’s pretty bad…considering that i got 1850 last time and it actually went low.

the funny thing is, my cr and math score stayed the same, and my writing went down twenty- with the IDENTICAL multiple choice score and an essay score that went down my one point.

I think your essay of one lower point perfectly explains your lowered score by 20 pts.
