CMU places heavy emphasis on scores. No a kid with 3.5 unweighted; 3.9 weighted GPA but 800 verbal and 640 math who got into CMU with only a handful of ecs

i think American is a pretty good match

Happy New Years!

okay, so from what everyone has said it sounds like i’ll PROBABLY get into these schools:

Denison
Loyola
University of San Diego
Rhodes
and hopefully American (possible?)

i actually applied to the georgetown school of nursing and health studies and if i’ve heard that they accept 50% of the applicants, now do i have more of a chance?

I know, probably a stupid question, but what’s this “who’s who in america high school students” thing?

it’s actually not a big deal, you get nominated by a teacher and then you fill out this profile/application that gets published in a book (nothing amazing)

Please don’t tell me that you put that on your app.

lol morgan17 that wasn’t what your original post implied :)

American Unvi stats class of 2009:
Percent admitted 51%
Ave. GPA 3.55
Ave. SAT 1285
Ave. ACT 28

Denison Univ class of 2009
Percent admitted 38.8%
Ave GPA 3.60
SAT 1245
ACT 27

Badandy12, i did put it on some of my apps i think–it’s not gunna hurt

i’d consider Holy Cross too. it doesnt require SATs (i think) and you have several other catholic schools on your list.

…but you’ll have to hurry

jeez you got a 2 in biology? schools really dont even take anything under a 3

I like the addition of American. You might also look at Goucher, Hanover, and Juanita as LAC match-type schools.

Also, do not report the 2 in AP bio.

i didn’t–thank god

I havent taken ap bio, what % do you need to have 5?

like an 80% i think

No, more like 70%.

Oh Right! a 70%…and sometimes they have to curve it i think

anyways…American U? possible?

pretty please?
