Hey all,

All this semester I’ve had to deal with 8AM classes every day. I figured I could handle it…and it hasn’t been so bad, but it’s definitely been a chore. I’ve wound up missing a lot of my 8AM (webcasted) lectures because I’ve decided to sleep in.

Anyway, my question is about next year. I’m not exactly sure what’s going to be happening, as I may aim for a job, maybe a research opportunity, or just get involved more in clubs. I’m planning to take Chem112A, Physics 7A, and Math 54.

My current schedule (which admittedly isn’t the best, but it lets me sleep in a bit) looks like this: http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~amanb/cgi-bin/makeSched.cgi?file=8476309&open=1

Am I correct in thinking that this schedule is impractical? I am afraid that it won’t allow me to have enough time windows to do anything else (i.e. a job, a research apprenticeship position, or even club stuff.)

My other option is, tenatively,
Mon 8-12
Tu 8-930, 11-1230
Wed 8-1
Thu 8-930, 11-1230, 1-6
Fri 8-10

Which would you personally do? Is my first schedule impractical to work with or am I being paranoid? I’d like to sleep in, but I don’t want to sacrifice opportunities outside of class just for a couple hours of sleep.
