<p>Hey,
So I’ve hit a big problem in my college process.
Having almost completely finished my common app.
Just need to fix a few things before submiting.
I decided to check out the price for sending off my SAT scores.</p>

<p>I’m applying to 14 schools (I know don’t beat me with a bat… i had to pick schools my parents liked and also schools i liked… leading to a pick 8 my choice, 6 my parents.)</p>

<p>And I’m a broke teen… and the total cost in somewhere around 104 dollars. with my parents giving my 50 bucks to pay for their choices.</p>

<p>Seeing this as a problem.
I must cut down my list… drastically…</p>

<p>I’d like if you guys could… choice the 5-6 schools I’m more likely to get into… from the list below.</p>

<p>1) Adelphi University
2) Hofstra University
3) SUNY Purchase
4) SUNY university at buffalo
5) SUNY New Paltz
6) Hobart & William Smith College
7) Drexel University
8) Ithaca College
9) Polytechnic Institute of NYU
10) St. Thomas Aquinas
11) Syracuse </p>

<p>My sat Scores (Look I know some of these schools are my reach reach reach reach schools… those are my parents choice… so unrealistic… oh well) are 600 on reading, 600 on writing and 590 on math. (i only took them once)</p>

<p>My highschool average as of right now is 85%.</p>

<p>I’m currently taking AP Calculus, AP Art History, Sculpture class, Film Literature, Government.</p>

<p>I go to an art school and have taken art classes every year ranging from ceramics, photography, anatomy, oil and watercolor painting, fashion, 3-d design, printmaking, etc.</p>

<p>I have worked since freshman year as a babysitter and intern at a jewelry store.
And did fencing for one year.</p>

<p>What are my chances??</p>

<p>Please help this baffled and broke teen.</p>

<p>Also forgot to mention… .For most of these school’s I’m applying for biomedical enginneering or biology.</p>

<p>I don’t see any BIG reaches for you in this list. This seems like a reasonable list to me. I am just not familiar with #9, but would guess that this is a reach for you. The next most difficult for you to gain admission to would probably be Syracuse and Bufflao (although New Patz has gotten quite popular, but is reasonable for you). Please keep in mind that that these are guesses, and I am not the admission counselor. The list is really not a pie in the sky list at all.</p>

<p>Editing, to say that I’d be more concerned with paying for college once admitted than paying for apps and gaining admission. I think you should have a serious discussion with your parents about that.</p>

<p>really? Well thats but i stil need to cut the list.</p>

<p>I’m thinking of removing all the schools that I’m applying biology for.
Because i have two careers in mind that i think i’ll enjoy… but then i’m not 100% about.
Biomedical engineering if what i’ll likely major in for my bachelors.
Because i can go to ways with it.
I can continue and become a biomedical engineer or i can go on to med school if my grades and everything is up to grade.</p>

<p>I still need help cutting down.</p>

<p>I have talked to my parents about paying for college and most likely I’ll be doing all the pay with loads and financial aid and grants.</p>

<p>But i seriously have no way to pay that 50 thats missing.
My mom gave me 50 and i have to get the other 50… and i’m not getting paid for a whiled…</p>
