Bags and dark circles under eyes - advice?

I’m learning that glasses can hide a lot of the signs of aging around the eyes, if your frames sit in the right spot. I feel like my ‘bags’, dark circles and wrinkles are a lot more prominent when I wear my contact lens.

As a redhead I have pretty thin skin. however I have found that supplements taken to help the circulatory system : coQ10, EFAs , B vitamins, . Resveratrol,Vit D… help to strengthen capillary walls and diminish the dark circles.

Can’t give you anything about the bags though- I think that would possibly be genetics/elasticity?

“dark circles under your eyes in all likelihood means you are unhealthy in one way or another.” - When I was a healthy kid, the pediatrician told my mom that my dark circles were hereditary. Not a reason for concern. I suppose if they happened to somebody without having them previously it would be a concern.

Ek, from what I’ve read, dark circles under the eyes are directly related to the thickness of skin in that area, which is genetic. For most people dark circles not accompanied by any other symptoms are not a sign of health issues. I think I bookmarked a web page talking about this topic, if I find it, I will
post a link.

FWIW, Good Housekeeping did a study of various skin products across quite a large $$ range in which they actually examined the skin after a period of use. The #1 product for the eye area was the eye cream of Patricia Wexler. It’s sold at Bath and Body Works.

I’ve always had dark circles under my eyes. I recently tried Garnier Skin Renewal Anti-Dark-Circle Roller, and the darn stuff works. I’m not talking about just covering up the dark circles - which this product does - I found that after a few weeks of use, my dark circles were noticeably lighter when I wake up. Read about this product in MS Living, tried it, and now swear by it. It’s awfully nice to wake up and not look like I went three rounds and lost!

And, yes, I wash it all off at night, so those lightened circles under my eyes are my skin, not the product. Something about the caffeine that’s in the makeup.
