Bama...The Washington DC Experience

[The Washington Experience](http://thewashingtonexperience.com/)

I’ve never seen this before…

BTW…when you go to the link…watch the pics change…pretty!

OOOH, my son will really be interested in this program. He was a Page for the Virginia House of delegates and Head Page the following year. That led to his choice of Law for a career. He will probably major in Political Science. How hard is it to get into this program?

Trying to get into the program probably will be a little easier once a student has built a solid resume of activities while at Alabama. I say this after reading that students must secure their internships.

My son, who is a freshman, is a poli sci major, and this summer, he will be working for our local Congressman in one of his satellite offices, not in DC. He figures that if he does a nice job and impresses someone with our Congressman’s staff, maybe he can go to DC next summer and work on the Hill or with another organization.

I thought I had seen something about a program in Chicago as well. I am drooling over the Capstone International programs brochure and think son would not mind taking English Lit classes for a chance to go to Oxford. But might want to take a baby step first and do something “abroad” stateside. Do want an organized program with Bama faculty, though, if possible. Thanks for any info.
