During the spring of junior year, my best friend and I mailed over 30 bananas to students, teachers, and administrators just because we could. You can seriously write the address in sharpie, stick on five stamps, put the bananas in a mailbox, and be good to go. It was amazing, and we still haven’t revealed our identity as the “Banana Man” because it’s so much fun to listen to people wonder.

Anyway, has anyone else done something like this? I love doing and hearing about long term pranks–they make high school more enjoyable. Oh, we also created a fake Facebook profile to see who would accept a request from Yazzy Narfle, and had over 200 friends within a few days. Ahh, what can be done with just a few rare days of free time. :)

I think so, but you have to take a lot of things into consideration, like whether it can fit through the mail slot (we used the one at the post office so it couldn’t be traced as easily) and how long it can keep. I bet you could send small lemons or limes, too.

That’s where I got the idea! My mom forbid me from sending produce after I read her that MLIA, so I kept it secret from her for a long time too. :)

The prank did cost quite a bit in stamps, but since it was split between us and spread out over a month or so, it wasn’t very noticeable. The cost is one of the reasons we stopped doing it, though.

Haha, no watermelons. But it would be fun to personally put a small one in a mailbox. Hmm.

Yeah, we (we’re both girls, btw) put them in the blue boxes at the post office and drove away quickly. We almost blew it once when the Police Chief pulled up behind us to mail a letter…especially since we sent one to his daughter the week before. But as far as we can tell, he didn’t notice.

I have a friend who went to some huge all-boys school, and they had a prankster that they called ‘The Phantom Pooper’.

What PP did was take poops in very random places around the school (middle of the hallway, wrapped around a tree trunk, etc.), and then leave little notes on them. At the beginning of the school year the note would always say “I’m back”. My friends said that after 4 years, no one had any idea who PP was.

Imagine how gutsy you’d have to be as a little freshman taking a dump in the middle of the hall.
