<p>@ivymania: I’m actually in the wind ensemble, and it’s quite enjoyable overall. Keep in mind: it’s an open group, so anyone who wants to join is free to. That said, anyone who worked hard enough to get in here is bound to be pretty good at whatever instrument they chose, and it shows in the playing. We’re entirely student run, although we do pay a conductor (a member of the Philly Pops) to come to work with us. It is much more relaxed than the orchestra, which is (for many instruments) extremely difficult to get into. We’re always in need of more low brass/low woodwind players, but, really, anyone is welcome!</p>
