What do you think, should my son open an account with the Stanford Federal Credit Union or with Bank of America (or any other bank)? He is the incoming freshman. Thanks!

Another incoming freshman here… I’m planning on opening one with the Federal Credit Union.

D who graduated in 2013 banked at Wells Fargo while at Stanford. Still has her accounts. She has been happy with them.

For parents who have BofA or Wells Fargo accounts…it may be much easier for you to transfer funds directly into their kids’ accounts (online or mobile) if they also have a “college checking account” from these banks before they leave home. BofA and Wells Fargo are conveniently located at the Tresidder center (center of campus) where they can withdraw/deposit money into their accounts…Wells Fargo has a full banking service and BofA has ATM service…

…and then again…if your kids want to start completely fresh at Stanford…they can sign up for the Stanford Credit Union Account…
