I´m an econ major and actuarial math minor at Upenn. I want to end up working in the banking industry ( though not necessarily I-Banking). I was wondering, whether you guys have ever heard of someone going into banking in the US, and after a year or so of work, asking for a transfer to a more remote branch ( in my case, I´m interested in transferring to a branch in Costa Rica). In my case, the only “big” banking names that have branches in Costa Rica are citigroup, HSBC and scotiabank (everything else is mostly latinamerican banks). How hard do you think a move like that would be?

I love the idea of working in banking, but I´m not really interesed in working abroad ( Costa Rica is my homeland). So my “career plan” has always been to get an education in the US, land a job, and then either transfer or quit.
