<p>There is no such thing as a “banned song” as far as I know! However, there are some song that you may want to stay away from because they are: 1 – overdone; 2 – difficult to play/sing; 3 – inappropriate for your age range and/or ethnic origin.</p>
<p>This topic has been discussed quite a lot – there is an older thread on this forum titled “Do Not Use List for Auditions” – if you use the SEARCH THIS FORUM tab at the top of the Musical Theater Major page you should find it.</p>
<p>However – some schools, like CCM, DO have a specific list of songs they want you to stay away from. It’s best to check with the individual schools you are interested in.</p>
