<p>Aside from the money, what advantages does being a Banneker Key scholar have at UMD? Do Bannekers get special attention from faculty/administration or any special opportunities, etc?</p>
<p>i don’t think there are any special opportunities…i mean if ur banneker key…u r already really smart so you’ll be successful and be able find good opportunities by yourself. And you don’t get special attention…the only ppl who kno that you are bannekers keys are the ppl who you tell yourself. I kno that you do have like a luncheon with President Mote at his house…where he congratulates you and stuff. But its not like a program…so theres nothing really to it besides getting the money…at least i think.</p>
