I am an independent admissions counselor. One of my students just visited Bard College and got a very unwelcoming feeling. Has anyone else had this experience. She will be a theater major.
My son was just chatting with me and classmate yesterday about Bard. His friend, who will be pursuing a BFA in theater at a different school was saying that her visit to Bard was awful and she got such a bad feeling. We visited Bard a couple of years informally, just the campus, and S17 didn’t even want to come back on a tour. D’s then bf lived in the area and we were visiting his family. OTOH, a friend of my son’s will be attending and is majoring in a science and playing a sport and he seems very happy about it. Years ago, a friend’s D attended for one semester and hated it so much she switched to a SUNY her second semester.
