34 act, major: literature, weighted GPA: 4.55
i seriously can’t believe i got into this school
So I was waitlisted… I wasn’t sure if I would’ve gone if I got in when I was applying, but I really fell in love with the school in the past few months since applying. Definitely upset, but I am happy that it wasn’t a rejection!
Here are my stats:
GPA: 4.0 unweighted/4.2 weighted
SAT: 1420, 1430 superscore
ACT: 32
I worked on my essays for over 2 months and thought they were quite strong, but you can never really know, right?
Quite the list of Extra-curriculars, but they were quite bland, I’ll admit…
Does anybody know how many students were waitlisted this year?
Also, wondering if the COVID-19 pandemic and the tragic death of Tessa Majors will affect who enrolls this year? Any thoughts on either of these?

Wow daughter just got a call today that she is in. Accepted on the spot. Wow. Still in shock. We were sending deposit to Colby or William and Mary today. So early too. She responded with an email immediately after getting her WL decision on the portal so maybe that helped.
I also got accepted off the waitlist today! It seems like there was a whole bunch of us who were accepted off the waitlist very early! So excited!

- I dont know my GPA but I go to a top NYC private school and have basically straight As and take 3 advanced courses
- I dance, sing, play piano, indian classical dance
- head of south asian cultures club
- part of my schools model congress team
- i’ve worked on a cancer clinical trial at weill cornell, also shadowing
- breast cancer research at johns hopkins
- tour guide, peer tutor
I really want to get off the waitlist. sent a LOCI so hoping for the best
