any time before 5pm because that’s when their office closes
it’s crazy how there’s just nothing yet
I was just about to say that! if the office closes at 5 it should come soon…anxious now
Am I the only pessimistic one who doesn’t think we’re going to get an email today? Lol. I hate to get my hopes up!!
I mean, at this point they’re probably not gonna send it out today. I was hoping they would, though.
true but like if they don’t send it today I don’t see the point of sending one at all. like we get the decision when we get it and hopefully it’s Wednesday
Have they sent an email every year or was it just last year?
What’s weird is that I just got a reply from Barnard about something unrelated on my portal so they’re answering emails…not sure why they haven’t sent a confirmation message yet
Found this in the ED thread from two years ago: “Last year when decisions were to be released on 13th applicants received a mail around 10th-ish. Somoene however did say last year that usually Barnard emails applicants about the notification date around 6/7 days before.”
6-7 days…wish that were us lol
If they postpone the notification date email, does it mean they are gonna postpone the notification as well? I really wish it could come this wednesday.
Hey guys I’ve been following the forum and have decided to join haha. I’m so nervous. Like I wish they would send us something. I can’t concentrate on anything ughhh I just want to know.
Then of course, these are not individual emails, but a bulk-email campaign. Due to the wonders of modern technology, they can be scheduled to run completely un-attended after-hours.
In fact, its not uncommon for school districts/colleges to intentionally have those sent after the official work-day, thus avoiding impulse phone calls and giving recipients a night to digest.
now I’m wondering if it’ll just come in the evening now that the office is closed…trying to stay focused on school while also remaining optimistic and idk about you all but it sure is getting quite hard lol
The most painful thing for me (not to make anyone else stressed or anxious) is that my admissions decision is just sitting somewhere, already having been made and yet I can’t know. That a bunch of people decided a piece of future and I have to be the last one to know. I wish schools could just release admissions as they go through them instead of this agony filled period of waiting where I know a decision has been made but I can’t know what that decision is. Sorry for getting all sad and stuff but it’s eating me alive
I literally feel that so much!!! I’m so scared to find out. My grandma and aunt went here and all of my family and friends know I’ve applied and I’m going to be so embarrassed if I don’t end up getting in. The hopes aren’t high for me but I’m knocking on wood…
girl me too!!! I can’t help to think about the fact that all of our decisions have been made and that we’re just waiting. hoping for the best for you @ierwin and all of us bc we all seem like great women
IT CAME IT CAME IT CAME
GUYS i just got the email!!!
